WHY THIS KEHWA IS DIFFERENT
What Makes Kashmiril Kehwa Special
Real GI-Tagged Kashmiri Saffron
Our saffron comes directly from Pampore — Kashmir's famous saffron region. It carries the official GI tag given in 2020. This tag proves the saffron is truly from Kashmir, not fake or mixed with Iranian saffron like many sellers use.
- Genuine Pampore origin with GI certification
- Rich golden colour and strong aroma
- High crocin and safranal content for real benefits
Completely Sugar Free
We add zero sugar, zero jaggery, and zero artificial sweeteners. The natural sweetness comes only from the spices themselves. Perfect if you are diabetic, watching your weight, or just want to cut down on sugar.
- Safe for diabetics and pre-diabetics
- No glucose spike after drinking
- Enjoy daily without guilt
Seven Natural Ingredients Only
Our kehwa contains just seven pure ingredients — nothing artificial, no preservatives, no chemicals. Green tea, saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and rose petals. That's it.
- No artificial flavours or colours
- No preservatives or additives
- Each ingredient adds real health value
Made Fresh in Kashmir
We prepare this kehwa in small batches right in Kashmir. Local tea artisans toast the spices by hand to release their natural oils. Then they blend everything carefully — the same way their families have done for generations.
- Small batch preparation
- Traditional hand-blending method
- Packed fresh at source
NATURAL INGREDIENTS
What's Inside Your Cup
Every ingredient in this kehwa serves a purpose. Here's what goes into each cup and why it matters.
Sourced from Pampore, Kashmir. Contains crocin (gives the golden colour) and safranal (creates the aroma). Known for mood support and antioxidant properties. The GI tag guarantees authentic Kashmir origin.
Provides a light caffeine boost (about 25-30mg per cup — much less than coffee). Rich in natural antioxidants. Helps with alertness without the jitters.
Adds the signature aromatic warmth that kehwa is famous for. Traditionally used to help with digestion and freshen breath.
Gives a gentle sweetness without any sugar. Studies suggest it may help support healthy blood sugar levels — perfect for a sugar-free tea.
Adds natural warmth and a slight spicy kick. Used for centuries in Kashmir to aid digestion and provide comfort during cold weather.
Brings depth to the flavour with warming properties. Packed with natural antioxidants.
Adds delicate floral notes that make each cup feel special. A traditional touch that separates real kehwa from ordinary spiced tea.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
How to Verify Authenticity
GI Tag Verification
Our saffron carries the official Geographical Indication tag. This government certification proves it comes from Kashmir. You can verify this — real Kashmiri saffron has a deep red colour, strong aroma, and releases colour slowly in water.
Lab Tested for Purity
Every batch is tested in a certified lab before packing. We check for purity, no contamination, and correct ingredient levels. The FSSAI license number is printed on every pack.
The Colour Test
Brew a cup and watch the colour. Authentic saffron releases its golden hue slowly over 10-15 minutes. If the colour comes instantly, the saffron is fake. Our kehwa passes this test every time.
SELECT OPTIONS
Choose Your Size
Our standard pack gives you about 40 cups of authentic kehwa. Use 1 teaspoon (about 2.5g) per 200ml cup. Adjust more or less based on how strong you like it.
INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
Boil Fresh Water
Take 200ml of fresh water and bring it to a full boil. Fresh water has more oxygen and makes better tea.
Add One Teaspoon
Add 1 teaspoon of kehwa mix to the boiling water. Use a bit more if you want stronger flavour.
Simmer for 3-4 Minutes
Reduce heat and let it simmer gently. This releases all the flavours from the spices and allows the saffron to bloom.
Strain and Serve
Pour through a strainer into your favourite cup. The kehwa is ready to drink.
Add Extras (Optional)
Want some sweetness? Add a teaspoon of honey. For extra richness, drop in a few crushed almonds. Both are traditional additions.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this kehwa really sugar free?
Yes, completely. We add no sugar, no jaggery, and no artificial sweeteners. The only sweetness comes from the natural spices. If you want it sweeter, add honey — that's the traditional way.
How many cups can I make from one pack?
About 40 cups using 1 teaspoon (2.5g) per 200ml serving. Use less for milder tea, more for stronger flavour.
What does GI-tagged saffron mean?
GI stands for Geographical Indication. It's a government certification that proves the saffron actually comes from Kashmir. Many sellers claim "Kashmiri saffron" but actually sell Iranian saffron. The GI tag is your proof of authenticity. Kashmir got this tag in 2020.
Does this kehwa have caffeine?
Yes, it contains green tea, so there's some caffeine — about 25-30mg per cup. That's much less than coffee (95mg) or black tea (50mg). Most people can drink it in the evening without sleep problems.
Can diabetics drink this?
This kehwa has zero added sugar, making it suitable for most diabetic diets. The cinnamon in our blend has been traditionally valued for blood sugar support. Still, please check with your doctor about any dietary changes.
How should I store it?
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. After opening, transfer to an airtight container to keep the saffron aroma fresh. Stored properly, it stays good for 24 months.
What if I don't like it?
We offer a no-questions-asked refund policy. If you're not happy with the taste, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Is this the same as noon chai or pink tea?
No, these are different drinks. Noon chai (also called sheer chai) is made with milk, baking soda, and has a pink colour. Kehwa is made with water, has no milk, and has a golden colour from saffron.
